Dan Morgan
Dan Morgan brings a wealth of musical knowledge and a diverse range of skills to the world of music instruction. With a B.A. from Long Beach State and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas, Dan's educational foundation is as solid as it is eclectic.
Dan's journey in music began with classical guitar, but his insatiable curiosity and love for stringed instruments led him down a multifaceted path. He delved into steel-string acoustic and electric guitar, mastering each along the way. Classical violin also found its place in his repertoire, only to be joined by acoustic and electric fiddle playing.
As a true multi-instrumentalist, Dan's music career has encompassed instrumental and vocal performance, recording, songwriting, producing, and teaching. His expertise spans a wide array of stringed instruments, including guitar, fiddle, violin, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, bass, and dulcimer.
My Teaching Method
Dan's teaching approach is both academic and inclusive. He emphasizes the importance of reading music, basic music theory, and the art of improvisation. But he also recognizes the individuality of his students, tailoring lessons to their musical interests and aspirations. Dan encourages his students to explore the songs and styles they're passionate about, fostering a love for performing, singing, and even songwriting.
Whether you're a budding musician looking to build a strong musical foundation or an experienced player seeking to expand your skills, Dan Morgan is here to guide you on your musical journey. Join him in discovering the joy of making music.
