Amy is a U.S. Military Spouse born and raised in Shanghai, China. Her lifelong passion has been the violin. At the tender age of 8, she began her violin journey under the guidance of Professor Li-Quo Chang at the prestigious Shanghai School of Music. Prof. Chang, renowned for serving as the assistant principal viola at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for over 20 years, imparted invaluable knowledge to young Amy.

By the time she turned 14, Amy had graced the stage with professional orchestras numerous times, even appearing on TV. Her dedication to her craft led her to California State University Fullerton (CSUF), where she played in the orchestra under the tutelage of Professor David Lewis while continuing her violin studies in 2000.

Amy's talent and commitment to mastering the violin didn't go unnoticed, and she had the privilege of participating in various master classes hosted by world-renowned violinists, such as the esteemed Ruggiero Ricci.

In 2023, Amy accomplished a significant milestone, completing a program at the prestigious Juilliard Music School in New York.

Over the years, Amy has garnered extensive teaching experience, working with children of all ages. Her students have achieved remarkable success, passing professional violin auditions and gaining acceptance into esteemed musical institutions like the Los Angeles Summer Solo

Symphony Workshop and the City of El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra.

One of her students even secured second place in a music festival that received broadcast coverage on public radio. Since 2016, Amy has been an esteemed member of Yucaipa Music, having relocated from Texas. With her exceptional skills, patience, and loving attention, she provides one-on-one violin lessons to aspiring musicians. Additionally, she leads a mini orchestra comprised of her advanced students, showcasing their talents through performances in Orange and Riverside County, as well as other surrounding areas, including special appearances at weddings.
